Novels, biographies, History, sacred, children’s, philosophical, political, comic books, esoteric, arts and professional. There is no book like the other, just like there is no person like the other. It’s impossible not to fall in love when you dive in the books universe. The 90th Book Fair started on this Thursday, August 27 and will remain until September 13, replete with culture and many stories to tell.

The stands set at the Eduardo VII bring culture and fun to all tastes. From great chains of bookstores to small hedges, you may find almost any title from 1€. The small surprises are the charm of the fair. The “Princess Pea” can be the most charming this year. Other than books, it brings costumes, bathing suits and accessories in literary themes in a scenario that makes any reader wish living in that stand.

Of course literature loves the classics, but new talents also have their places. At the Chiado editors we had the oppotunity to meet Cristina Moreira, that was releasing the book “Amor e Manipulação” (Love and Manipulation). She was radiant in her book signing afternoon. The new talents releases happen all the time in the fair and may surprise who decides to honor them.

Children’s Literature is always present everywhere and storytellers take their turns in the auditoriums to bring dreams and culture to the kids. Epic Adventures for teenagers also make an appearance.

All this food for the mind, demands nourishment for the body and that, definitely, won’t miss at the exposition in kiosks and food trucks you can find every few steps. The organizers have been careful about the visitors health, presenting hand sanitizer available in many spots and mandatory use of masks, which is monitored by the team.

The fair is recommended to everybody who has the chance to visit it , whether it’s to increase the library, hear stories or to know better the Portuguese literature.
