Passion for coffee, bakery, artisan breads and impeccable service are the ingredients that form the Simpli Café, which has one of it’s units 2 minutes away from our apartments. The Simpli opened in 2017 by the architect Mario Cajada, who believes that the second most consumed drink in the world deserves to be better treated and had the desire to create a business that stand out among the hundreds of cafes in Lisbon. Special grains, all approved by the SCA – Specialty Coffee Association, 100% from the Arabic species (2 types each fortnight, to warrant exclusivity and freshness), roasted in the store, traditional recipes mixed with intelligent and delicious reinterpretations of the bakery, beside the delicious lunch, served every day in many options of salads, sandwiches and today’s special, with the standard that only a gourmet café can offer. This is how this unique space was created, where you breath quality in every detail.
I recommend trying the cappuccino and the carrot cake anytime of the day and enjoying the stop to recover the energy, or taste an espresso to who prefers stronger flavors. The space invites to stay and enjoy the time as much as the delicacies served there. Anyway, there are so many options surprisingly specials that it’s impossible try them all in only one visit, which is an excellent excuse to come back many times and enjoy the special grains, natural fermentation breads made in the house, croissants and an environment so warm as the team that attends with the attention of who gets a visitor at home.
This mix of sofistication and caring from who makes things with love make the Simpli an establishment that, definitely, deserves to be known and revisited in every chance you have.
The best part is that our guests have 10% discount in the bill. Ask in the reception how to proceed.
