Travel Card
Go to Marquês de Pombal metro/subway station (5-minutes walk from our apartments) and ask the staff for a Viva Viagem travel card. This card costs €0.50 and it’s used as a top up card.
You top up this card with any amount you like, for example €10, and you then tap this card on the barriers and it will automatically deduct the value for that mode of transport. You can use it to travel on metro, bus, tram, funicular, ferry and suburban train.
What to Eat
39 Degraus - Cinemateca Portuguesa
It’s a local café. The restaurant is in a small Cinema Museum. We will recommend for lunch. Whatever you want to go with friends or business partners, it´s a good choice. Importantly, it´s very near our apartments.

Eleven
In the Eduardo VII Park. Michelin 1 star fine dine. Eleven friends got together for the love of gastronomy and created Eleven. One of the partners is Chef Joachim Koerper, a German by birth and an adoptive Mediterranean who practices market and seasonal cuisine, taking advantage of the fresh ingredients available every day, at every time of the year. Make sure to book a table online! They have a special offer on weekdays for the set lunch.

Pasteis de Belém
The most famous and iconic Portuguese tarts. Don’t eat tarts from anywhere else, trust me, they really have the best tarts! There is a queue outside for takeaway only and you can choose to buy them to takeaway and sit outside in the grassy areas of Belem. To avoid queues, go later in the evening, it’s very busy in afternoons.

Liberty Avenue
Avenida da Liberdade (Portuguese for “Avenue of Liberty”) is an important boulevard in central Lisbon, Portugal, famous as one of the most expensive shopping streets in Europe.
Avenida da Liberdade’s central location and proximity to the prestigious locations and institutions, like the Chiado district, Marquis of Pombal Square, Queen Maria II National Theatre, the Avenidas Novas, Eduardo VII Park, and numerous others, the avenue has long been considered the heart of Lisbon and its most prestigious address. It has become an international luxury destination for its shopping, hotels, and fine dining.

Eduardo VII Park
The Eduardo VII Park is a public park in Lisbon, Portugal. Its name pays homage to Edward VII of the United Kingdom who visited Portugal in 1902, to strengthen the relations between the two countries. Until that visit, its name was Liberty Park.
Within the area of the Park are the Carlos Lopes Pavilion (the former Portuguese pavilion of the 1922 Rio de Janeiro International Exposition) and the Estufa Fria.
On the northern top of the park is a flagpole where the present largest Flag of Portugal of the world is usually flown.

Gulbenkian Museum & Garden
Near the EI Corte Ingles. Crossing Cultures / Crossing Time.
Regarded as one of the best museums in Portugal, the Gulbenkian Museum can take you from Ancient Egypt to the present day across its two collections. The Founder’s Collection and the Modern Collection each has their own specific presentation, but they also speak to each other in temporary exhibitions and projects. These set up dialogues across time, between different kinds of art and artefacts, and between East and West. Free admission on Sunday after 14:00.

Red frog-Speakeasy Bar
Very close to the apartments, a cozy cocktail bar. Suggest going around 10pm and supposed to be quick to get a table for 2 people. It serves excellent (and strong) cocktails.
Enter by ringing a doorbell at the entrance and wait for a server to come to greet you.
